Weekly Newsletter: 06 June 2016
1. Monday, June 6, 2016 is a regular training night at Trenton Cadet Training Centre (3 Yukon St.) Cadets should wear civilian clothing and bring their parade boots. Cadets are to arrive not earlier than 5:45 pm and are to be picked up not later than 9:00 pm.
2. If you were issued a hat for the FTX, please return it on Monday. Seniors who borrowed combats are also required to return them on Monday. They must be clean!
3. For Cadets Attending Summer Training: If you have completed Gr. 9 by the end of June 2016 and are attending a Summer Training Course that is 3 weeks in length or longer, you can earn up to two high school co-op credits for completing summer training! If you are interested in finding out more information about this program, please send an email to administration@704aircadets.ca as soon as possible. The deadline to apply is June 30th!
4. Our Supply Section is not on site at Breadner Elementary School. Supply is being stored at Active Self Storage, 400 Sidney St. Cadets needing supply will be required to make an appointment. This can be done by talking directly to the Supply Staff. Cadets can also request an appointment by contacting us by phone or through our website.
5. A reminder that 704 Squadron is always accepting donations of Canadian Tire Money to help offset the cost of supplies and equipment.
6. If your cadet is going to be absent from any training night or other squadron activity, the cadet must call the squadron and leave a message stating the reason for their absence. 704 Squadron has a new phone number and may be reached at 613-921-7047. If preferred, please utilize the "Notice of Absence" feature on our website.
7. An update is being made to Cadet Dress Instructions with regards to the uniform and badge placement. Information about the changes can be found here.

19 June 2016: Tree Top Trekking at Ganaraska. If you did not receive a letter with waiver form last week, please speak to Capt Kendall on Monday.
25-26 June 2016: Quinte International Air Show. The Squadron has been asked to provide volunteers to help sell Snowbirds merchandise during the air show. Shifts are 10-2pm and 2-6pm. Cadets who volunteer their time will receive free admission to the air show. As a thank you for our help, the Squadron will receive a donation of 10% of the profits. This is a fantastic opportunity to partake in the festivities and promote the Air Cadet program to the community!
