Weekly Announcements: 19 December 2016
1. Monday, December 19, 2016 is a Regular Training Night at Breadner Elementary School (31 Gimli Road, CFB Trenton). Dress for the evening is civilian clothes --- Don't forget your ugly Christmas sweater (if you have one!) Cadets are to arrive no earlier than 5:45 pm and are to be picked up not later than 9:00 pm. **As of Monday, January 9, 2017, the Squadron will be moving back to the Trenton Cadet Training Centre. Monday, December 19, 2016 is our last night parading at Breadner School**
2. We are in need of cadets to help set up for an event at the National Air Force Museum on December 29th at 9am in civilian clothing. We are also in need of as many cadets as possible to put away tables and chairs on January 2nd at 9am in civilian clothing. We also require 4 cadets to work the coat check at the National Air Force Museum on December 31st from 5pm-1am (dress is full uniform). We will receive a donation for our help. If you can assist at any of these events, please sign up on Monday night.
3. Like last year, our supply section will not be onsite at Breadner Elementary School. Our Supply locker (located at Active Storage, 400 Sydney Street behind Fastenal) will be open on Mondays at 4:30pm for uniform exchange. Parents/Cadets are asked to go in the front door, let the desk staff know that you are with 704 Squadron and you will be given access to supply. You may exit from the front door as well. All uniform parts that are being exchanged must be clean! Cadets will be responsible for their own transportation. In the meantime, please wear an appropriate white shirt with black pants until you are able to obtain replacement uniform parts. Please ensure all uniform pieces, especially your wedge and parka, are clearly labeled with your name!
4. OPC Lottery Tickets: Tickets should be returned as soon as possible. Each cadet is responsible for selling atleast one book of tickets. Cadets well be held responsible for lost or misplaced tickets at a cost of $60 per book. Our squadron is required given a set number of books to sell every year; the funds raised from these tickets helps keep the gliders and tow planes flying so that cadets all over Ontario can access familiarization flights. OPC lottery tickets make great Christmas gifts and help a worthwhile cause!
4. As of December 31, the 75th Anniversary pin is no longer worn. You may keep your pin.
