Welcome to 704 Air Force City Cadet Squadron!
Training Nights are Monday's 6pm to 9pm at Marc Garneau School, 30 Fullerton Avenue, Trenton.
Important Reminders:
#1 - Poppies are to be worn from October 27th to November 11th. CLICK HERE for Where to wear a Poppy.
#2 - MORE CADETS NEEDED to assist with Poppy Sales this Saturday November 4th, see shifts and location noted below.
#3 - Air Cadet League of Canada - Ontario Provincial Committee ("OPC") Lottery Tickets: The sale of these tickets are used to maintain the Air Cadet Gliders and Tow Planes. A portion of the sale of these tickets is returned to the Squadron. There is no registration fee to join the Air Cadet Program, in turn Cadets are asked to take part in the Squadron Tag Days (Fall and Spring) and to Sell at least one book of OPC Tickets. *** It is very important that each and every Cadet take part in selling a book of tickets and take part in both fall and spring Tag Days.**** There are many books of OPC Lottery Tickers left to sell. If the Cadets do not sell the tickets, the Squadron must pay for them from our Tag Day Fund. PLEASE HELP OUT AND SELL AT LEAST ONE BOOK OF TICKETS. Cadets who sell at least one book of OPC Lottery Tickers and attend Tag Days will be given a discount on the cost of busing on Squadron Trips.
#4 - Marc Garneau is a nut free school. DO NOT bring any snacks or items containing any type of nut into the school.
#5 - Wear your outdoor shoes to the school and carry your boots. Please put your boots on once you are inside the school.

Please add the following events to your calendar for the 2017-2018 Training Year:
• Friday 3rd November - NO BAND Practice
• Saturday 4th November - Poppy Sales - Meet at Trenton Legion - shifts are 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm - Full Dress required, with parka and toque if cold.
• Monday 6th November - CO's Parade - Also first night of full dress for the winter
• Wednesday 8th November – NO BAND Practice
* Wednesday 8th November - Drill Team Practice 7pm to 9pm at Marc Garneau School.
• Thursday 9th November - First Marksmanship Practice - 7pm to 9am at the Canteen at the Trenton Cadet Training Center on base, where we paraded last spring.
* Friday 10th November – Overnight Vigil – at Trenton Cenotaph - Sign up sheets were posted Oct 23rd. Further details including assigned shifts will be forwarded closer to the date.
• Friday 10th November - Band Practice for those not at the Vigil – Belleville Armouries from 6:30pm to 8pm
• Saturday 11th November – Remembrance Day Ceremony – at Trenton Cenotaph - Meet at 10am at the Trenton Legion
• Wednesday 15th November - Band Practice - Marc Garneau School from 6:30pm to 8pm
• Friday 17th November –ALL Band Members Mass Band Rehearsal for Santa Claus Parades - Belleville Armouries from 6:30pm to 8pm
• Saturday 25th November – Squadron at Frankford Santa Claus Parade – details to follow.
• Saturday 25th November - 413 Wing Charter Night Dinner - 6 Cadets needed to serve – details to follow.
• Sunday 26th November – Squadron/Band at Trenton Santa Claus Parade - details to follow.
* Monday 27th November - Sports Night
• Monday 18th December - 704 Christmas Dinner - Details to follow.
• The Squadron is planning an overnight trip in March during the School March Break. Tentative dates are 11-12 March 2018. Location being investigated: Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton overnight program.
• Weather permitting, a Saturday ski day at the Bata Ski Hill is being considered for the cadets.
Some extra activities for our cadets this year may include: 1. Band 2. Drill 3. Effective Speaking 4. Exertion 5. Ground School 6. Marksmanship 7. Orienteering
