Field Training Exercise information
FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE (FTX)
On May 28, 704 Squadron is conducting a field training exercise for all cadets at the Free Methodist Church, 272 Mill St. Frankford. Lunch will be provided. Under normal circumstances your child will be outdoors continuously for 9 hours, from the time they are dropped off Saturday morning until they are picked up on Saturday afternoon.
It is mandatory that your child have in their possession their Ontario Health Card. The staff will collect these at the beginning of the exercise and keep them in a secure place during the activity. If your child has special dietary needs or is on any form of medication make certain it is noted for squadron staff.
Please have your child dropped off at the Free Methodist Church (272 Mill St Frankford) by 7:30 AM on Saturday, 28 May 2022. They should have had their breakfast before drop off. Cadets will need to be picked up at 4:30 PM at the same location. Please be on time for pick-up.
Cadets are to wear the new FTU uniform. Those cadets that have not yet been issued with FTUs are to wear appropriate clothing. NO SHORTS OR SANDALS.
KIT LIST
This list includes the clothing that you will be wearing when you arrive for the FTX. You should wear two pair of socks (one cotton, one wool) to prevent blisters and to keep your feet dry.

CADETS WILL NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS Matches Pyrotechnics Knives or sharp cutting tools Firearms Electronic devices (gaming device, MP3 Player, mobile phone, etc.) Alcohol Illicit Drugs Bad Attitudes
