Welcome back to 704 Air Force City Cadet Squadron!
I hope everyone had a great summer and Congratulations to all Cadets who enjoyed a summer training course. I am looking forward to hearing about your experience.
Our Squadron will NOT be training at the Trenton Cadet Training Centre this year. We are in the process of securing a new location for our weekly training night.

First Training Night - Monday 11 September 2017 at a location to be determined.
NOTE: New recruits and Cadets requiring uniform exchanges are to wear black pants and a white shirt until sized and uniform parts are in stock.
Please add the following events to your calendar for the 2017-2018 Training Year:
1/ SAT 09 SEPT - SCOTTISH/IRISH PARADE- Arena at Centennial Park 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM - Summer Dress
2/ MON 11 SEPT - FIRST TRAINING NIGHT (Location TBD) 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
3/ SUN 17 SEPT - BATTLE OF BRITAIN PARADE - 413 Wing Trenton 10:00 AM BATTLE OF BRITAIN PARADE - 418 Wing Belleville 10:00 AM FALL GLIDING – Mountain View 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM FALL GLIDING – Mountain View 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM *Cadets who attend the Battle of Britain Parade in the morning will be able to go Gliding in the afternoon. *Dress for the Battle of Britain Parade is Full Uniform including Tunic, Tie and Medals (if awarded) *When attending Gliding cadets MUST have their Health Cards, should bring sun screen, hat, jacket, and water bottle. Sunglasses are optional but good to have.
4/ SAT 30 SEPT - AD ASTRA STONE DEDICATION CEREMONY – National Air Force Museum 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM * Dress is Full Uniform including Tunic, Tie and Medals (if awarded).
5/ FRI 06 OCT - FALL TAG DAY (Various Locations) 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM SAT 07 OCT - FALL TAG DAY (Various Locations) 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM SAT 07 OCT - FALL TAG DAY (Various Locations) 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM *When Tagging, Cadets should be prepared for the weather by bringing Cadet Parka for rain or cold and sunscreen if Tagging in the sun.
6/ SAT 14 OCT - ORIENTEERING COMPETITION (Details to Follow) 413 AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER Fundraiser for 704 Squadron. Families Welcome and Encouraged!!!
7/ FRI SAT SUN 20-22 OCT - FALL FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE (FTX) * Details to follow
8/ SAT 28 OCT - 413 WING AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION DINNER – 8 Cadets needed to serve.
9/ FRI 10 NOV - OVERNIGHT VIGIL – at Trenton Cenotaph *Full uniform with parka required – details to follow.
10/ SAT 11 NOV - REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY – at Trenton Cenotaph * Full uniform with parka required – details to follow.
11/ SAT 19 NOV - BAND at BELLEVILLE SANTA CLAUS PARADE – 4:00 PM * Full uniform with parka required – details to follow.
12/ SAT 25 NOV - SQUADRON at FRANKFORD SANTA CLAUS PARADE – * Full uniform with parka required – details to follow.
13/ SUN 26 NOV - SQUADRON/BAND atT TRENTON SANTA CLAUS PARADE * Full uniform with parka required – details to follow.
14/ MON 18 DEC - 704 CHRISTMAS DINNER * Details including date to follow.
15/ The Squadron is planning an overnight trip in March during the School March Break. Tentative dates are 11-12 March 2018. * Location being investigated: Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton overnight program.
16/ Weather permitting, a Saturday ski day at the Bata Ski Hill is being considered for the cadets.
OPC Lottery Tickets: The sale of these tickets benefit our Squadron so we are able to attend trips and optional activities. Each Cadet is expected to sell one book. This year our Sponsoring Committee would like $60.00 up front in September from each cadet for the book of tickets When the tickets are sold, return only the stubs and keep the money.
Some extra activities for our cadets this year may include: 1. Band 2. Drill 3. Effective Speaking 4. Exertion 5. Ground School 6. Marksmanship 7. Oreinteering
